Another Camino is calling me. It seems to be a common occurence among those who love distance walking--almost everyone that we are still in touch with from our first Camino in 2014 has done more--the Camino del Norte, the Portuguese Camino, the European Peace Walk, and others. So, this time, Grace and I are off to walk (almost) across France on the Le Puy Camino a/k/a the Via Podiensis, or the Chemin de St. Jacques, or the GR65. We will be walking about 450 miles through "La France Profonde" from Le Puy-en-Velay to St. Jean Pied de Port (where we began to walk across Spain in 2014). La France Profonde ("Deep France") is a phrase that denotes the existence of "deep" and profoundly French aspects of the culture of French provincial towns, villages, and rural agriculture. In other words, we are going to be deep in it! And I will explain more when I get there.

Hi girls! Im assuming you have started to walk. We are looking forward to posts and pics! Be safe. Julie
